How does AML API work?

SEON’s AML API screens a person’s name using fuzzy matching, which detects spelling variations, transliterations, and name similarities across more then 20 scripts.
Instead of relying on exact matches, it assigns relevancy scores so you can balance strict compliance with false-positive control.
The name is checked against 500+ global AML data sources, including sanctions lists, PEP databases, crime lists, and regulatory watchlists.
Results are returned in real time with ranked matches based on similarity and available attributes.
This allows automated AML checks during onboarding, monitoring, and periodic reviews.
