How does password hash matching work?

We receive a unique ID of the user’s password (the hashed version in ASCII encoding*), and our system uses it for filters, rules, customer connections, etc.

Note: For the ASCII encoding, we recommend using HMAC-SHA256 or RSA-SHA256.
